Fire control robot (fire detector)
As a kind of special robot, the fire control robot plays a critical role in fire fighting and emergency rescue. There are an increasing number of large petrochemical enterprises, tunnels, and subways. Potential hazards are also increasing all the time, such as the leakage and explosion of oil, fuel, and toxic gas, and the collapse of tunnels and subways. A fire control robot can perform such tasks as data collection, processing, and feedback at sites prone to dangerous accidents and disasters, such as flammable, explosive, and toxic environments, as well as oxygen deficit and dense smoke areas, in place of firefighters.
A fire control robot is categorized as a special robot. It can climb, get up a ladder, and cross obstacles; resist high temperatures and thermal radiation, resist rain, explosions, corrosion, and disturbances; and walk and defend itself under remote control. Moreover, it can perform tasks such as fire reconnaissance, detection of hazardous chemicals, fire extinguishing, cooling, moving objects, and stopping a leak in severe environments in place of firefighters. It can also guarantee the safety of firefighters and enhance the performance of rescue and relief work.
